Jos Uffink is senior lecturer at the Institute for History and Foundations
of Science at Utrecht University. His research interests focus on the
foundations of quantum mechanics, statistical physics, and the interpretation
of probability and statistical inference. 

Abstract 


This talk presents quantum mechanical inequalities which
distinguish, for systems of N spin1/2 particles (N>2), between fully
entangled states and states in which at most N1 particles are entangled.
These inequalities are stronger than those obtained by Gisin and BechmannPasquinucci
[Phys. Lett. A 246, 1 (1998)] and by Seevinck and Svetlichny [quantph/0201046].
